After8toEducate & Fannie C. Harris Youth Center
After8toEducate is a public-private collaborative to support high school students experiencing housing insecurity in Dallas. In collaboration with the Dallas Independent School District and local organizations, After8 provides a three-pillar program at the Fannie C. Harris Youth Center, a first-of-its-kind center offering support services to homeless youth ages 14-21. The center includes an after-hours drop-in center as well as a residential center in South Dallas. The drop-in center offers youth a space to find refuge, a place to study, eat, shower, and access other immediate support services. The residential services component includes sleeping rooms for unsheltered high school students in Dallas ISD.
